About Rocca Roveresca

The Rocca Roveresca of Mondavio is a Renaissance fortification. It represents one of the most important and interesting testimonies of Francesco di Giorgio Martini's military design activity in the Marche. The construction remained unfinished due to the return of the architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini to his native Siena and the subsequent concomitant death of both the client Giovanni della Rovere and the architect.
