About Mount Limbara
The Monte Limbara is a mountain range located in the Sardinia north-east. Located in the municipalities of Tempio Pausania, Calangianus, Oschiri, Berchidda, of granite nature, it represents the border between the historical and geographical regions of Gallura to the north and Logudoro to the south. Characterized by modeled peaks, in the past, it housed a USAF radio base, while the highest peak, Punta Balistreri, rises to an altitude of 1,359 meters above sea level. CoghinasThe Coghinas is the most important river in the province of Sassari and with a length of 116 km it is the third river in Sardinia after the Tirso and the Flumendosa, however, being the 2nd for basin width after the Tirso and the 2nd after the Flumendosa for average water flow. A dam of its course near the Muzzone strait, by means of a dam 185 meters long and 58 wide, forms the homonymous basin, Lake Coghinas, which has a capacity of 254 million cubic meters of water.

Giants' grave of Coddu VecchiuGIANTS’ GRAVES, OR TOMBA DEI giganti, are megalithic gallery graves that were used as public tombs during the Bronze Age. The tombs are made of a central stele, a stone or wooden slab, which has a hole cut into it that functions as the entrance. It was built in local granite between 1800 and 1600 BC and renovated between 1600 and 1300 BC. It has a gallery approximately ten meters tall and four meters wide.
Nuraghe La PrisgionaThe nuraghe La Prisgiona is a nuragic archaeological site, located in the Capichera valley in the municipality of Arzachena, in the province of Sassari. The complex consists of a nuraghe and a village of about 90-100 huts, spread over five hectares. Due to its large extension and the number of buildings, the site is considered unique in the Gallura nuragic context. Nearby is also the tomb of the giants of Coddu Vecchiu.
Basilica di San SimplicioThe basilica of San Simplicio, in Olbia, is the most important and ancient religious monument in northeastern Sardinia and a testimony to the spread of Christianity on the island. Cathedral until 1839, parish church since 1955, it was awarded the title of minor basilica in 1993 by Pope John Paul II . It is dedicated to Saint Simplicio, proto-bishop of the city and martyr under the emperor Diocletian, today patron saint of the diocese of Tempio-Ampurias and Olbia.
Spiaggia di Li CossiLi Cossi beach belongs to some of the most famous beaches of north Sardinia. Enclosed in a natural amphitheater of granite rocks, the beach has a length of just 80 meters but can be up to 70 meters wide, reaching all the way back to the riverbed. It's a great spot for taking pictures of the sunset as Li Cossi faces due west.
