In it are located the centers of Maso Corto, Vernago, Monte Santa Caterina, Certosa, Madonna di Senales and the Gruppo di Tessa nature park. The Vernagt-Stausee reservoir is located in the valley. Ulten ValleyThe Val d'Ultimo is a 40 km long valley in the western area of ' Alto Adige ending Lana. The valley has all the characteristics of the traditional Tyrolean valleys: ancient farms, green meadows, dense forests, and high mountains. In particular, the Ultental Valley is surrounded by the peaks of the south-eastern Ortles Group, one of the highest peaks in the area. The highest part of the valley is part of the Stelvio National Park.
