About Blaise Castle Estate

A 650 acre Grade II* registered parkland including children’s play area, museum and castle. Discover everyday objects from centuries past, including Victorian toilets and baths, kitchen and laundry equipment, model trains, dolls, toys and period costume in the museum. The site has signs of occupation during the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Roman periods. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries the site was sold.

Blaise HamletBlaise Hamlet is a charming collection of 19th-century houses on the outskirts of Bristol. Westbury College GatehouseWestbury College Gatehouse is a 15th-century gatehouse that once controlled access to a College of Priests. The gatehouse served as the main entrance into a complex of buildings based around a quadrangle. The gatehouse was built from 1459-1469 by John Carpenter, the Bishop of Bath and Wells as part of his ambitious plan to extend the earlier college. it is now one of the important monuments here and is visited by many tourists.
