About Ruislip Woods

Ruislip Woods Trust was established in 1997 as a charity. Its aims are to protect the ecological environment of Ruislip Woods and to encourage greater access by the public through education, monitoring and surveying. It is the largest block of ancient, semi-natural woodland in Greater London and include one of the most extensive oak/hornbeam coppice woods in southeast England. The site also includes acid and neutral grassland, ponds, streams and marshland.

Ruislip Lido RailwayThe Ruislip Lido Railway is a 12-inch narrow gauge railway operated entirely by volunteers. Running from Woody Bay station on a 1.02-mile track around the reservoir, the railway passes through to Willow Lawn station. Originally built by the Grand Union Canal Company over a much shorter route, the line has been extended in recent years and now covers over two-thirds of the perimeter of the reservoir. It is has been operating since 1979 by the Ruislip Lido Railway Society.

Moor ParkMoor Park is a Palladian mansion set within several hundred acres of parkland to the southeast of Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire, England. It is called Moor Park Mansion because it is in the old park of the Manor of More. It now serves as the clubhouse of Moor Park Golf Club. The house is listed Grade I on the National Heritage List for England, and the landscaped park is listed Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens

Denham Country ParkA scenic and relaxing location on the banks of the River Colne, Misbourne, and Frays, the park is home to a mix of wildlife. Ebury Way3.5 mile traffic-free route through lakes and fields, linking Rickmansworth and Watford; follows the route of an old railway line. Path shared with walkers and cyclists.
