Elm HillThis lovely street dates back to medieval times and is one of the finest and prettiest of its kind in England. Bigod Castle, BungayBungay Castle is a late 12th-century castle erected by Hugh Bigod, the powerful Earl of Suffolk. Bigod was one of the strongest opponents of King Stephen, who tried to buy his loyalty by granting him the earldom.
