About Sutton Park

Sutton Park is a 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve located 6 miles north of the city centre. It’s one of the largest urban parks in Europe and is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The park covers more than 2,400 acres according to one source, or 2,200 acres according to another. It consists of a mix of heathland, wetlands and marshes, seven lakes, extensive ancient woodlands , several restaurants, a private 18-hole golf course and so more.
