About Gadloch

The Gadloch is a fresh water loch in North Lanarkshire, situated near the town of Lenzie, Scotland. The Gadloch was originally much larger, but was reduced by the addition of a drainage tunnel. Local folklore has it that the tunnel was excavated by Napoleonic Prisoners of War, though it is generally accepted that the tunnel predates that period

Lenzie MossLenzie Moss is a local nature reserve in Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It is a boggy, marshy area that has not been built on. The reserve comprises lowland raised bogs, which were extensively exploited for peat, and now feature the characteristics of peat cutting, and several acres of deciduous woodland mainly made up of silver birch.
