Medak FortThe fort was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Kakatiyan ruler, Pratapa Rudra. The fort was originally known as Methuku durgam, which denotes cooked rice. This is one of the largest cathedral in India since 1947. Originally built by Charles Walker Posnett, it was consecrated on 25 December 1924. The Medak diocese is the single largest diocese in Asia and the second in the world after the Vatican.
