About Stift St. Florian
A majestic augustinian monastery in the town of Sankt Florian, Austria. Founded in the early ninth century, and later refounded by Augustinians in the eleventh century, St. Florian is the largest monastery in Upper Austria, and rivals Melk Abbey and Klosterneuburg Monastery as among the most impressive examples of Baroque architecture in Austria. The New CathedralThe New Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Linz, Austria. The neo-Gothic church is the largest, though not the tallest church in Austria. Beautiful glass windows decorate the cathedral, which was finished in 1924 and can accommodate 20,000 people. The sacred space is also fascinating. Mariendom is a haven of peace and an architectural masterpiece.
Linz Botanical GardenThis is is among the most beautiful in Europe. Over an area of 43,000m², there are more than 10,000 various types of plants to admire. The outdoor section of the Garden is divided up into several differently themed sections which exhibit plant communities of different ecosystems. The Japanese Garden and the Rosarium are great examples of ornamental gardens. Somewhat beyond the main Garden is the 14-hectare Arboretum, which is home to approximately 700 species of trees.

Old Cathedral, LinzThe Old Cathedral stands serenely, in all its beauty at the City Hall district. Originally a Jesuit church, the cathedral exemplifies Baroque style architecture and has emerged as an elaborate, spacious edifice with side chapels. It was built between 1669 and 1683 in Baroque style. From 1785 to 1909 it served as cathedral of the Diocese of Linz.

Not only is the museum's extensive collection impressive, but also the mix of historical and modern architecture in the house.
