Sonnenberg is the highest mountain in the Leithagebirge , a ridge on the border between Lower Austria and Burgenland .At the summit of the Sonnenberg is the Sonnenbergwarte, a border watchtower built during the Cold War and transferred here after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Today this 15-meter high metal tower can be climbed as a viewing tower and allows a panoramic view, in good weather until the change.
