Gaberl PassA beautiful high mountain pass in the Austrian Alps in the Bundesland of Styria. A steep road connects Köflach with the upper Mur River valley, running next to the Stubalpe. This road dates from Roman times. It is a popular destination for both summer and winter sports.
Piber Federal StudThe Piber Federal Stud is a stud farm dedicated to the breeding of Lipizzan horses, located at the village of Piber, near the town of Köflach in western Styria. It is the primarybreeding farm that produces the stallions used by the Spanish Riding School, where the best stallions of each generation bred at Piber are brought for training and later public performance.
KoralpeKoralpe is a mountain range in southern Austria which separates eastern Carinthia from southern Styria. Its highest elevation is the Große Speikkogel, a popular hiking destination and also a node for military radar airspace surveillance. In the south, in the Slovenian territory, it is contiguous with the Kozjak mountain range. The Koralpe consists mostly of metamorphic rock, of which some parts are of considerable interest to geologists and to collectors of semi-precious stones.

Klippitztörl PassKlippitztörl is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.642m above the sea level, located in the Bundesland of Carinthia, in Austria. The pass road is 28 km and goes south at Bad St. Leonhard from Federal Highway B78 over the pass to Lölling-Graben, where it joins Federal Highway B92 south of Hüttenberg. There is a ski resort at the Hohenwart, with a number of lifts. Along the road, there are many hotels and rental chalets.
WeinebeneThe ski resort Weinebene is situated at an altitude of 1580. It is an ideal destination for skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and day-trippers. Snow-secure and family-friendly. Children will enjoy their own ski school and training lifts. Cross-country skiers have fun on the 15 km of well-prepared trails which offer two tracks.
