About Zaans Museum
Zaans Museum is a museum in Zaandam, Netherlands, which was opened in 1998 to preserve and protect the heritage of the Zaan area. The museum houses cultural-historical and regional collections examining the residential and industrial culture. In 2015, the museum acquired a painting from the Zaan period of the French impressionist painter Claude Monet, entitled 'The Voorzaan and the Westerhem'.Address : Schansend 7, 1509 AW Zaandam, Netherlands

De Zaanse SchansThe Zaanse Schans is an open-air museum that's fun for all ages. It offers a perfectly preserved glimpse into the Netherlands' industrial past with its traditional houses, windmills, warehouses and workshops. From 1961 to 1974 old buildings from all over the Zaanstreek were relocated using lowboy trailers to the area. The Zaans Museum, established in 1994 near the first Zaanse Schans windmill, is located south of the neighbourhood.
