About Winschoterdiep
The Winschoterdiep is the canal that runs from Groningen, from the connection to the Eemskanaal, to Winschoten where it splits into the Rensel , the last part to Winschoten, and the connection to the Pekel A. The Winschoterdiep is the continuation of the Schuitendiep that was dug from Groningen to Foxhol around 1400.
