About De Biesbosch National Park
De Biesbosch National Park is one of the largest national parks of the Netherlands[2] and one of the last extensive areas of freshwater tidal wetlands in Northwestern Europe. The Biesbosch consists of a large network of rivers and smaller and larger creeks with islands. The vegetation is mostly willow forests, although wet grasslands and fields of reed are common as well. Nationaal Park Loonse en Drunense DuinenNational Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen is a nature reserve in the Dutch province of North Brabant . It covers over 3500 hectares and has been a national park since 2002 . On the one hand, the park is largely an alternation of dry sand drifts and coniferous forest , but the extensive stream valley zone of the Zandleij is also part of it. The De Brand near Udenhout nature reserve, in particular, is located here , with its alternation of coppice forests, wet meadows and swamp bushes.
Anton Pieck PleinAnton Pieckplein is a square in the Efteling , named after one of the founders of the park: Anton Pieck . It has a nostalgic atmosphere with antique merry -go-rounds and various catering outlets. The square was named after Pieck in 1954, to recognize him for his great influence on the success of the Fairytale Forest . The square, with old-fashioned houses and merry-go-rounds, was also designed by him.
Halve MaenHalve Maen is a Pirate Ship ride at Efteling theme park in the Netherlands.The Pirate Ship is not actually themed as a “Pirate Ship”, but a copy of the VOC - merchant Halve Maen of the Dutch East India Co. The house was designed by Ton van de Ven and it was built in 1995 by Vekoma . At the opening it was the first attraction of its kind, since then the type has been widely imitated in other amusement parks. In 1997 Villa Volta won a Thea Award.
