Laguña Creek has its headwaters at the head of Tsegi Canyon, where the creeks from Long Canyon and Dowozhiebito Canyon merge at an elevation of 6,325 feet. The canyon mouth is located at elevation of 6,024 feet near Marsh Pass.

It is maintained as a visitor attraction by Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation. Visitors are welcome to drive the 17-mile dirt loop, Valley Drive, on self-guided tours of the valley.
