Bear Lake Colarado - Glacial Lake Surrounded by Subalpine Meadows

Bear Lake was formed during the last ice age when a glacier carved out a basin in the rock. The most popular trail is the Bear Lake Trail, which starts from the Bear Lake Trailhead near the parking area. This trail is just over two miles long and takes about two hours to complete.

The Entrance Fee for Colorado residents is $8.00 per vehicle for a one-day pass or $80.00 for an annual pass. The Entrance Fee for out-of-state visitors is $10.00 per vehicle for a one-day pass or $100.00 for an annual pass. Passes are available for purchase online, at the park entrance station, or at the Visitor's Center.
