The Science Centre at Goodwill Estate is a delightful place to spend an afternoon with your family. It is a large museum established in 2003, fostering an environment of fun-filled learning, with a playground with innovative slides and swings within its compound. Corbyns Cove BeachThe beach is renowned for its glass-bottomed cruises, scuba diving and snorkeling, which is a perfect treat for adventure enthusiasts. During the Japanese occupation of Corbyn's Cove, pillboxes and bunkers were made which can be still seen on the beach. A major part of the beach was washed away and destroyed in the tsunami of 2004.
Gandhi Park AndamanGandhi Park is just the perfect sightseeing place in Andaman to relax, rejuvenate, and revive. The park has its share of history too; the Dilthaman tank in the park was once the lone source of drinking water in Andaman. Cellular Jail National MonumentAlso known as Kālā Pānī (Hindi for black waters), was a colonial prison in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The prison was used by the British especially to exile political prisoners to the remote archipelago. Many notable independence activists such as Veer Savarkar, Batukeshwar Dutt, Yogendra Shukla among others, were imprisoned here during the struggle for India's independence.
Ross Island, Port BlairThis Island the erstwhile capital for the most of Andaman Islands from 1858 until an earthquake in 1941. Netaji Subhash Chand Bose Island was also the base for the British Administrator of the penal colony in Port Blair.In 1941, the Japanese converted the site into POW camp, and built war installations, remnants of which can still be seen. It now lies deserted.
