About Little White House Historic Site
The Little White House Historic Site in Harris County, is the former home of President Jimmy Carter. The house was built in 1861 and served as a plantation house during the Civil War. In 1867, the house was bought by Rosalynn Carter's grandparents, who turned it into a summer home for their family.
