About Mount Skylight
Mount Skylight in Essex County is one of the highest peaks in New York, at an elevation of 4,826 feet. It is the seventh highest peak in the state and marks the border between Franklin and Hamilton counties. The mountain is part of the Adirondack High Peaks region and can be accessed from three trailheads: Adams, Marcy Field, and the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Trail.
