The Tuscarora Heroes Monument is a significant historical memorial located in Lewiston. The monument commemorates an act of bravery and compassion displayed by members of the Tuscarora Native American tribe during the War of 1812.In December 1813, during the Battle of Queenston Heights, British and American forces clashed near the Niagara River.
