Old Stone BridgeA 12th-century bridge across the Danube linking the Old Town with Stadtamhof. For more than 800 years, until the 1930s, it was the city's only bridge across the river. A Benedictine monastery situated on a peninsula in the River Danube. According to tradition, the abbey was founded in 617 and is believed to be the oldest monastery in Bavaria. Weltenburg Abbey brewery operated in the monastery is one of the oldest monastic brewery in the world, having been in operation since 1050.
