About Mount Sinabung

Mount Sinabung also Dolok Sinabung, Deleng Sinabung, Dolok Sinaboen, Dolok Sinaboeng and Sinabuna is a Pleistocene-to-Holocene stratovolcano of andesite and dacite in the Karo plateau of Karo Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia, 40 kilometres from the Lake Toba supervolcano. Many old lava flows are on its flanks and the last known eruption, before recent times, occurred 1200 years before present, between 740 - 880 CE. It is one of the beautiful trekking destinations in Indonesia.

Mount SibayakMt. Sibayak is a stratovolcano overlooking the town of Berastagi in northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Although its last eruption was more than a century ago, geothermal activity in the form of steam vents and hot springs remains high on and around the volcano. The vents produce crystalline sulfur, which was mined on a small scale in the past. Seepage of sulfurous gases has also caused acidic discolouration of the small crater lake.

Taman Alam LumbiniLumbini Natural Park is a Buddhist temple located at Desa Dolat Rayat, Berastagi in North Sumatra. It was inaugurated with a great ceremony in October 2010. The ceremony was attended by more than 1300 monks and more than 200 lay people from around the world. Taman Alam Lumbiniis a replica of “Shwedagon Pagoda” in Yangon, Myanmar. Air Terjun Sipiso PisoThe Sipisopiso is a plunge waterfall in the Batak highlands of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is formed by a small underground river of the Karo plateau that hurls itself from a cave in the side of the lake Toba caldera some 120 meters down to lake level. Sipisopiso is a well-known tourist attraction and a nearby vantage point offers great vistas of the fall and the lake.
