Attractions Near Blefjell
BletoppenBletoppen is the highest summit on Blefjell, 1342 meters above sea level. Bletoppen is located in Tinn in Telemark. The view is nice in all directions. Places that are visible are: Gaustadtoppen, Hardangervidda, Jonsknuten, Skrimfjella. The summit is most easily reached by following a marked trail from the parking lot at Nordstul, 3 to 4 hours hike in the summer. Numerous shorter paths starts at the road to Fosskard and goes up the steep western side of Blefjell.
TinnsjåOne of the largest lake in Norway and one of the deepest in Europe. It is also one of the beautiful tourist spots. Tinnsjå is part of the Skiensvassdrag, and drains via the Tinnelva river in the south, down to Heddalsvatn.
Heddal stave churchNorway's largest stave church built in the 1200s and still in use. Rose paintings from the 1600s, "bishop's chair" and incense vessels from medieval times. Guided tours in English, exhibition in the vicarage barn, open parallel with the guided tours. Cafeteria serving hot and cold meals. Church services and "quiet room".
Heddal BygdetunHeddal Open Air Museum is located near the historic Heddal Stave Church. Heddal Museum has various buildings representative of the history of local farming dating from the Middle Ages and up to the 1930s. Fyrileivstugu, a living room interior dating from 1932, was transferred to Heddal Museum in 1990. It was the work of noted woodcarver and rosemaling artist, Olav Fyrileiv who was a Telemark native.
Trillemarka-Rollagsfjell Nature ReserveTrillemarka is a Nature Reserve consists of one of the largest natural forest areas in central Østlandet and includes virgin forest and 93 red list species.
Norwegian Mining MuseumNorwegian Mining Museum documents the history of the former Kongsberg Silver Mines. It represents the largest collection of native silver anywhere in the world.
