The minster is one of the most beautiful churches in the canton of Aargau. It is the core of the medieval pilgrimage site and former market town Bad Zurzach. It was built over the grave of St. Verena in a Roman burial ground. The former monastery church today consists of an early Romanesque nave and the Gothic choir tower, consecrated in 1347.
