About Argentière Glacier
The Argentière glacier is located in the Mont Blanc massif. It overlooks the village of Argentière. This glacier covers an area of 19 km² and an altitude range from 1600 m to 3600 m on a North aspect. La FlégèreLa Flégère is the slope of the Aiguilles Rouges overlooking the valley of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to the north. The valley was linked to the Flégère by a 60-seater cable car. The latter was replaced by gondola lifts, commissioned in December 2019 1. Their starting point is located in the village of Les Praz de Chamonix. The bottom station of the Flégère gondola is located at an altitude of 1,877 m. A refuge is present next to the upper station.
