About Castle Hunaudaye

A beautiful medieval castle which was built in the 13th century and it belongs to the Tournemine family at the heart of the forest in Côtes-d'Armor. Now the castle has been restored by the state and is now open for visitors. There are so many things to see in and around this castle and there is a 3D film to help you understand this fortress' history. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1922.

Cap FréhelCap Fréhel is a peninsula in Côtes-d'Armor. It is one of the most visited sites in Brittany. Once you get there, you will quickly understand why. Just try to imagine the festival of colors: the grey, red, and black high cliffs and pink sandstones overlooking the deep green water. RanceA beautiful river in northern France which was used by the Rance Tidal Power Station and is located in a nice area and the banks of this river is a nice picnic location. You can spend time fishing and also by so many other activities. It flows for 60 kilometers past Dinan to form an estuary on the Brittany coast of the English Channel at Saint-Malo, here the world’s first large-scale tidal plant, using flood and ebb tides to generate electricity, was completed in 1967.

Solidor TowerThe majestic Solidor tower was built from 1369 to 1382 on a rocky ledge overlooking the outlet of the Rance. It is a dungeon composed of three towers connected by curtain walls. Listed as a Historic Monument in 1886, the Solidor Tower has been home to the Long Course Museum and Cap Hornier since 1970. One of the main attractions in this area and it attracts a lot of tourists.
