Dead Sea is 430 meters below sea level and a lake between Jordan and Israel. We accessed it from the Jordanien side. There is a public beach but the most comfortable access is from one of the many resorts along the long road because you can have a good shower and rest after soaking in the mud. The salinity is almost 35 percent and its salt has healing powers and makes your skin smooth and clean. When you drive down to the Dead Sea from the mountains, the pressure of the air changes so much that you can feel it in your ears just like when you are landing with plane. Be sure to not have any wounds or tiny scratches because they will burn very much once in contact with the salty water.
