Greatstone BeachThe sandy beach at Greatstone is quite flat and stretches from north to south for over two miles, and is frequently 'washed' by the tide of the English Channel. Although permission was given for a company to construct large numbers of homes and facilities in the 1920s, only a small number were actually built.

The public can access the nature reserve via Pegwell Bay Country Park, which is off the A256 Ramsgate to Dover road.

The Way around the ancient coastline offers a diversity of scenery, from wide expanses of marshland bordering the Thames and Medway estuaries to the White Cliffs of Dover. Spectacular panoramic views follow the route along the escarpment of the old sea cliffs from Folkestone to Rye and from the sandstone cliffs of the High Weald at Hastings.
Stone BayStone Bay is a beautiful, quieter location, best known for rock-pooling and popular with families. Behind the beach are high chalk cliffs which provide shelter from the breeze and a feeling of seclusion. It is also worth noting that the beach at Stone Bay almost disappears on the high tide, so be sure to check the tide times. This beach has beach huts from April to September. Access is via steps from Eastern Esplanade, or for vehicles access is down a steep slope which includes a hairpin bend.

As such all the facilities are close by including cafés, pubs, shops and toilets.
