Agathla PeakAgathla Peak, a 1,400 foot volvanic plug in the south of Monument Valley, Arizona. It consists of volcanic breccia cut by dikes of an unusual igneous rock called minette. It is one of many such volcanic diatremes that are found in Navajo country of northeast Arizona and northwest New Mexico. These rocks are part of the Navajo Volcanic Field, in the southern Colorado Plateau. Ages of these minettes and associated more unusual igneous rocks cluster near 25 million years.
Hangman TrailThe Hangman Trailhead & FR 86 provides access to this trail. This trail follows areas affected by the 2002 Rodeo-Chediski Fire.A very nice trail, at the beginning quite flowig, later steeper. In the first section there are two medium-sized ramps. Tehre are also so many things to see and do which is quiet interesting and also there are so many things to see also.
Long Logs TrailLong Logs Trail in Petrified Forest National Park has a few cool things to see. The first is a bunch of long petrified logs. It is one of the greatest concentrations of in-tact petrified logs in the Park. Trees over 100' long were stripped of their branches by ancient rivers and eventually came together within this vicinity.

When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two giant mittens with their thumbs facing inwards.The summit of West Mitten Butte is 6,176 ft and East Mitten Butte is 6,226 ft in elevation. The Mittens form a triangle with Merrick Butte about 2⁄3 mi to the south and, with Sentinel Mesa, a more extensive plateau, towards the northwest.
