Cordova PassCordova Pass is a 11,260 foot mountain pass just outside of the Spanish Peaks Wilderness. It is reached via the Apishapa Road, a leg of the Scenic Highway of Legends. Most of the time, the pass may be traversed by passenger vehicles, although it is not accessible from mid-November to late May.There are vault toilets, several picnic tables and a couple of primitive campsites in the summit area. This is a "Fee Area".

It’s under the supervision of the U.S. Forest Service. The view at the summit of Greenhorn Mountain is a panoramic spectacle. The Great Plains, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Pikes Peaks, and Spanish Peaks can all be seen from the summit of Greenhorn Mountain.

Mount MestasMount Mestas is an imposing peak in Huerfano County, lying 3,000 feet over the plains to the east. Although it is very prominent in in area, it hardly receives any visitors, bypassed for the popular Sierra Blanca Massif which is farther west along US 160. This peak poses a grueling climb, starting south of the mountain along the highway and slogging northward over 2,500 vertical feet to the summit.
