Mount ArvonMount Arvon, is the state's highest natural point, standing at an impressive 1,979 feet above sea level. The mountain itself has a relatively mild slope compared to the surrounding area, standing as a monumental marker of its place in the Upper Peninsula. It was named after Michigan land surveyor William A. Burt's colleague and friend, Arnold von Ahlenheim.
