Bois Blanc Island Lighthouse
Bois Blanc Island Lighthouse, is an iconic spot for many visitors to the beautiful Great Lakes State. Standing sturdy for more than 150 years, this impressive red-roofed tower stands 39 feet tall and contains a spiral staircase that takes you up a mere 55 steps to get you to the top of the lighthouse where remarkable views of Lake Huron await. Constructed in 1854 by order of President Franklin Pierce, this landmark was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Round Island Light
Round Island Light, is one of the most well-known and iconic lighthouses. It was first illuminated on June 1st 1842 and is designed with a characteristic red brick lighthouse tower that stands forty-five feet tall at its peak. The landmark remains famous from its prominent appearance in an episode of the classic television show, The Bionic Woman, aired in 1975. It has been lovingly cared for since then, maintained by the US Coast Guard for safe navigation along Lake Huron to this day.

Spectacle Reef Lighthouse
Spectacle Reef Lighthouse is an iconic landmark that stands tall over Lake Huron. Built in 1874, the lighthouse has been used since then to provide safe passage for mariners travelling the straits of Mackinac. The spectacular view of the hundreds of islands and sand dunes along the shoreline make it a popular tourist destination. Standing 41 feet tall with 88 steps inside, it's visible for 15 miles across Lake Huron - making it one of Michigan's best lighthouses.

St. Helena Island Lighthouse
St. Helena Island Lighthouse offers a stunning view of the Straits of Mackinac. The original lighthouse was built in 1862, with a two-story wooden structure framed around an octagonal tower that provided visibility for ships traveling through the straits. As time went on and ship technology changed, it became clear that the light could not be seen from certain angles. In 1903 a new tower was built adjacent to the old one, with a higher-powered electric beacon.

St. Hellena Island Lighthouse
The St. Hellena Island Lighthouse is a classic example of lighthouse architecture from the 1900’s. This white brick structure emphasizes its distinctive brick tower, which stands 54 feet and was rebuilt more than once since the original construction in 1877. Inside the lighthouse is a set of winding stairs that leads to the light gallery with fantastic views of the surrounding Great Lakes.
