Devarakonda Fort
Devarakonda which is as Mandal Headquarters, is a tiny village situated in Nalgonda district. The fort was constructed in the 13th – 14th century. The Devarakonda fort is the emblem of prosperity established by the kingdom of Padma Nayaka Veluma Rajas. The fort was the heart of one and slave of none, as it was ruled by Padma Nayaka Veluma Raja since the year 1278 to 1482 AD.

Elgandal Fort
Elgandal Fort is situated amidst palm groves on the banks of the Manair River. It was once under the control of the Qutub Shahi Dynasty. During the Nizam era it was the headquarters of Karimnagar. It is believed that a secret tunnel connects Elgandal Fort and Manakondour.

Golconda Fort
Golkonda fort is a fortified citadel and an early capital city of the Qutub Shahi Dynasty. Because of the vicinity of diamond mines, Golconda flourished as a trade centre of large diamonds, known as the Golgonda diamonds.

Khammam Fort
Built during 950 AD by the Kakatiya rulers, the fort is an important tourist attraction in Khammam. Later, Musunuri Nayaks and Velama kings were involved in the expansion of the fort. Subsequently, the Qutb Shahi kings developed the fort further. The fort is situated on Stambhadri hill. It represents a combination of both Hindu and Muslim architectural influences.

Medak Fort
The fort was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Kakatiyan ruler, Pratapa Rudra. The fort was originally known as Methuku durgam, which denotes cooked rice. The fort was the command post for the rulers of Kakatiyas and also for the Qutub Shahis who ruled the area. It is a huge structure located on the top of a hill. One has to climb more than 500 steps to reach the top of the fort, which occupies 100 acres on the hilly area. Medak Fort is noted for its architectural magnificence.

Nizamabad Fort
This is a fort built in the 10th century by Rashtrakuta kings and is situated in the southwest of the city. There is a Jagannath temple on top of the fort and is a tourist attraction and religious place for Hindu devotees.

Rachakonda Fort
The Rachakonda Fort was constructed in 14th century by Recherla Singama Nayak from Padma Nayaka dynasty who ruled the region of Rachakonda. The Fort was the capital to the Rachakonda region. The region was first ruled by Kakatiyas, Padma Nayakas, Bahmani Sultans, Qutub Shahi and finally Nizams. The Rachakonda fort is a good example of medieval Hindu fort architecture. It is a structure made of large stones. The fort built as a two story structure was constructed without using any mortar.

Warangal Fort
appears to have existed since at least the 12th century when it was the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty. The fort has four ornamental gates, known as Kakatiya Kala Thoranam. This is a UNESCO world heritage site.
