On a hot day in Dhaka I made my way from Gulshan to Old Dhaka. Big city traffic takes two hours one way but a lot to see left and right. The palace is very pink and you need about an hour to see everything and another hour for pictures if you like pictures. The palace has a section with photographs of the early 1900s which is fascinating. If you are already in the area, you should also go to the fort.
