Cathcart Castle Golf ClubThis beautiful golf club was established in 1895 and is one of the oldest in the area. Located on undulating parkland, the course offers a picturesque outlook - from just about anywhere on the course there are superb views out to the North and West. The course is surrounded by picturesque and panoramic views of the City of Glasgow, and you can also enjoy the fine views towards the North West and Loch Lomond.
Greenbank GardenGreenbank Garden is a 2.5-acre 18th century walled garden in Carolside, Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, Scotland, owned and operated by the National Trust for Scotland and open to the public. It is situated about six miles from the centre of Glasgow. The garden, which is included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, surrounds Greenbank House, a Category A listed building. The house has sixteen rooms, and also barns and stables.
Holmwood HouseConstructed in 1858, Holmwood House is the finest and most elaborate residential villa designed by the Scottish architect Alexander "Greek" Thomson. The villa retains much of its original interior decor and it may have been influenced the works of many othor proto-modernist architects.
National Museum of Rural LifeThe National Museum of Rural Life, previously known as the Museum of Scottish Country Life, is based at Wester Kittochside farm, lying between East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire and Carmunnock in Glasgow. The Museum combines an award-winning exhibition building, which houses the national country life collection and the historic working farm of Wester Kittochside with its Georgian farmhouse which exhibits the furniture and effects of the Reid family who farmed there for over 400 years.

Mearns CastleA majestic ruin of four storey, rectangular tower house built in 1449 by the powerful Maxwell family. It was ruinous by the nineteenth century but was later restored and used as a church until the 1970s when a dedicated building was constructed directly abutting the old castle. The castle has been restored and is now part of the Maxwell Mearns Castle Church. It also gives its name to nearby Mearns Castle High School.
