About Maltschacher See
The Maltschacher See is one of the warmest bathing lakes in Carinthia due to its size and its shallow water depth. The undeveloped shores of the lake not only offer tranquility and idyll for the whole family, but also an important habitat for protected bird and fish species. WörtherseeA beautiful lake in the southern Austrian state of Carinthia. It is elongated, about 16.5 km long and 1.5 km wide, and stretches from the outskirts of the Carinthian capital Klagenfurt in the east to the bay of Velden in the west The popular bathing lake is a main tourist destination in summer. Most tourists visit the Lake in the months of July and August when water temperatures reach 25 °C. A large proportion of visitors return every summer and some own or rent holiday homes along the shore.
Pyramidenkogel TowerThe Pyramidenkogel observation tower is situated at the top of the 850-meters-high Pyramidenkogel mountain, near Klagenfurt, the capital of Austria’s southernmost state Carinthia. It was completed in 2013 and it’s simply fantastic. With a total height of 100 metres, it’s the highest wooden viewing tower in the world. Height accomplishments aside, the design of the structure is itself a marvel – the helix-shaped tower is both a gorgeous work of architecture.
PyramidenkogelPyramidenkogel is an 851-metre-high mountain in Carinthia, Austria. It is located to the south of the Wörthersee and near the town of Maria Wörth, in an area that is a boundary between speakers of German and Slovenian. In nearby Slovenia the mountain is known as Jedvovca. The mountain has been a tourist attraction since at least the late 19th century. The view from its top is mentioned in Karl Baedeker's 1879 The Eastern Alps.
