Industrieel SmalspoormuseumThe Industrieel Smalspoormuseum is a narrow - gauge industrial railway museum in the Amsterdamscheveld district of the village of Emmen-Erica in the Dutch province of Drenthe . It is close to the village of Emmen-Weiteveen .Founded in 1984, the museum is located on a 6-hectare site on the Dommerskanaal . In this area, peat was processed into peat litter by the Griendtsveen Turfstrooisel Maatschappij until 1983 .

Bargerveen Nature ReserveBargerveen Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in the Dutch province of Drenthe that has been included in the Natura 2000 ecological network. The reserve consists of stretches of peat bogs, moors and heaths with expanses of water and wetlands. The area sees a tremendous variety of fauna, especially birds and is, therefore designated a special protection area under the decree of the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Wild Birds.
