About Huis van de Nijmeegse Geschiedenis
The Mariënburgkapel is a national monument in the city center of the Dutch city of Nijmegen in the province of Gelderland. The chapel was built around 1431 as part of the Mons Mariae monastery outside the city walls , later corrupted to Mariënburg . Since about 1412 , this place has been a beguinage for the Sisters of the Common Life and the Modern Devotion movement .
