About Borgmeren
The Borgmeren are two lakes in the municipality of Midden-Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen . The northern lake is called Borgmeren or Harkstederplas, has an area of 70 hectares and falls under the village of Harkstede . The residential area De Borgmeren is located here. Kerk van EngelbertEngelbert's church is a simple elongated Dutch Reformed hall church in a fenced cemetery at Engelberterweg 39 in Engelbert , municipality of Groningen . WoldmeerThe Woldmeer near Middelbert is a recently dug recreational lake in the Meerstad district of Groningen . It is accessible for pleasure craft via the Eemskanaal and the Slochterdiep. You can walk , cycle , swim , sail and sail . And of course ice skating in the winter. The surface area of the lake is larger than the Paterswoldsemeer and, because of the many islands that will be there, a more intimate atmosphere than the Zuidlaardermeer.
Park MeerstadPark Meerstad is an almost 10 hectare city park under construction in the Meerstad district of the Dutch city of Groningen . It is the largest public land art project in the Netherlands. The park is located on the Woldmeer and is made up of artificial ridges overgrown with grasses, flowers and about 500 trees.
