About Park Meerstad
Park Meerstad is an almost 10 hectare city park under construction in the Meerstad district of the Dutch city of Groningen . It is the largest public land art project in the Netherlands. The park is located on the Woldmeer and is made up of artificial ridges overgrown with grasses, flowers and about 500 trees. A straight bike path and a number of hiking trails cut through the park, which also has a water feature and some ecological gradient zones .Address : 9617 Harkstede, Netherlands

WoldmeerThe Woldmeer near Middelbert is a recently dug recreational lake in the Meerstad district of Groningen . It is accessible for pleasure craft via the Eemskanaal and the Slochterdiep. You can walk , cycle , swim , sail and sail . And of course ice skating in the winter. The surface area of the lake is larger than the Paterswoldsemeer and, because of the many islands that will be there, a more intimate atmosphere than the Zuidlaardermeer.
BevrijdingsbosThe Bevrijdingsbos is a forest on the edge of the city of Groningen near Noorddijk , between the Lewenborg district and the village of Garmerwolde. The forest was planted in 1995 at the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands , as a thank you and tribute to the Canadian liberators of Groningen in April 1945. Through the forest is a path with large stones from 10 different countries, with the Ten Rights of the Child on it.
Kerk van EngelbertEngelbert's church is a simple elongated Dutch Reformed hall church in a fenced cemetery at Engelberterweg 39 in Engelbert , municipality of Groningen . The church has the status of a national monument and has been owned by the Oude Groninger Kerken Foundation since 2000 . Today the church is only used for cultural activities.
OostersluisThe Oostersluis is the large lock between the Van Starkenborgh Canal and the Eems Canal , both CEMT-class Va. The lock is located on the east side of the city of Groningen , in the watershed between the basin of De Waterwolf and that of the Eemskanaal. The lock was built in the 1930s and rebuilt in the 1990s because it did not meet the requirements imposed on the lock in connection with the subsidence caused by gas extraction .
BorgmerenThe Borgmeren are two lakes in the municipality of Midden-Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen . The northern lake is called Borgmeren or Harkstederplas, has an area of 70 hectares and falls under the village of Harkstede . The residential area De Borgmeren is located here. The southern lake is called the Scharmerplas, has an area of 20 hectares and falls under the village of Scharmer . Recreational Park De Borgmeren is located here.
KardingebultKardinge is the name of a sports center, the Sportcentrum Kardinge , of a nature and recreation area Kardinge managed by Natuurmonumenten and of a transferium, P+R Kardinge. The Kardinge nature and recreation area alternates between forests, meadows, lakes and swamps, with opportunities to experience nature and for walking, rollerblading, running and swimming. The area functions as a neighborhood park for the surrounding city districts.
