The Engbertsdijksvenen is a state natural monument in the municipality of Twenterand in Overijssel , near Kloosterhaar east of Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk near the German border. There are extensive peat areas with heathlands and fens. It is a remnant of the large peat swamp that once covered the northeast of the Netherlands.The area is part of the European network of protected natural areas: Natura 2000 .Address : Paterswal, 7671 Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk, Netherlands

Historical Museum VriezenveenThe Historical Museum Vriezenveen is located in the old town hall of the Overijssel town of Vriezenveen , right in the center.The museum deals with the history of the municipality of Vriezenveen. There is, among other things, a section on the textile history of Vriezenveen, and documentation on the great fire that ravaged Vriezenveen on May 16, 1905, in which 228 homes, the town hall and two churches were lost.

Stadsmuseum AlmeloStadsmuseum Almelo is a regional museum in the Overijssel city of Almelo , managed by the Stichting Museum voor Heemkunde Almelo, which was founded on January 8, 1975. The museum is housed in the Rectorshuis , which was the Latin school in 1783 , and the adjacent Heydapand. Until the end of 1986, the museum was located on the top floor of the Waag building on the Marktplein. The collections are about the former glory of Almelo and developments towards the city of Almelo.
Kasteel EerdeKasteel Eerde is situated on the Eerde estate in the Overijssel municipality of Ommen . The estate once covered 150 hectares and stretched from the Overijsselse Vecht to the Regge . A stone arch bridge over the moat gives access to the castle.The interior of the castle has largely been preserved in 18th-century style. Fireplaces are paneled in Louis XIV style . There are many portraits of former residents. The castle gardens on the south side are not freely accessible to the public.
