The Waterline Museum consists of different parts. In the new part, realized in the sand body on the attack side of the bomb-proof barracks, is the interactive exhibition about the water lines Sterk Water. Nieuw-AmelisweerdNieuw-Amelisweerd, is a castle and knightly court town near Bunnik in the Dutch province of Utrecht . It is located in the current Amelisweerd estate. After changing owners several times, the property came into the possession of Hendrik van Utenhove in 1682, who had the medieval house demolished and built the current country house .In 1984 the house was restored by architect Dr EJ Hoogenberk on the initiative of the original squatters. The house is still inhabited today and has 17 apartments.
Fort RhijnauwenFort bij Rijnauwen is a Dutch fortress near the hamlet Rhijnauwen in the municipality of Bunnik. It is part of the New Dutch Waterline. With an area of 32 hectares , this is the largest fortress in the NHW. It was built in 1867 - 1869 as part of the forward line forts near Utrecht. This forward line served to close off the Houtense Vlakte. The fortress is built according to the modern polygonal system.
