About Gore Canyon
Gore Canyon is an isolated is a 3-mile isolated canyon along the upper Colorado River, just southwest of Kremmling. The Colorado descends from approximately 7,300 ft to approximately 7,000 ft over the length of the canyon. The steep walls ascend approximately 1,000 ft on either side. Wolford Mountain ReservoirWolford Mountain Reservoir is located about five miles north of Kremmling in Grand County, Colorado. The reservoir dams Muddy Creek and is part of the Colorado River watershed. Construction of the reservoir was completed in 1996.
