About R. Buckminster Fuller and Anne Hewlett Dome Home

R. Buckminster Fuller was a trailblazing innovator, best known for his iconic geodesic dome designs. His lifelong pursuit of sustainable living led him to develop a prototype home which he named the Anne Hewlett Dome Home in Jackson County, Illinois in 1971. This 450 sq ft space was constructed out of reinforced aluminum and used the minimal amount of materials possible to make such an effective structure; Fuller even aimed to make it completely autonomous and off-grid.
