About Three Mothers Art Gallery
Located within the premises of Thangapat Mapal Palace Compound in Imphal East, Three Mothers Art Gallery is a museum that showcases the rich culture, tradition, history and heritage of the state through Driftwood Sculpture Art. The art gallery cum museum is run by the artist Shri Gurumayum Shyamsunder Sharma and the museum is situated in a single shed like room within an area of 1000 square feet. Ima KeithelA unique all women’s market, having 3000 “Imas” or mothers who run the stalls, it is split two sections on either side of road. Vegetables, fruits, fish and household groceries are sold on one side and exquisite handlooms and household tools on the other. Not far away is a street where beautiful wicker works and basketry are sold.
Kangla FortThis is an old palace at Imphal in Manipur (Kangleipak). It was situated on both sides (western and eastern) of the bank of the Imphal River.
