About Steyr

The Steyr is a river in Upper Austria. Its length is approx. 68 km. Its drainage basin is 917 km2. Rising in the Totes Gebirge at Hinterstoder, it flows into the Enns in the town Steyr. There both rivers form a "Y". The city of Steyr uses this "Y" for marketing purposes. An iconic location for a shirt picnic and also there are so many things to see and do here.

Museumsbahn SteyrtalThe narrow-gauge Steyrtalbahn ran from Garsten via Grünburg and Molln to Klaus with a side wing from Pergern via Sierning to Bad Hall in Upper Austria . Seitenstetten AbbeySeitenstetten Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in Seitenstetten in the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria. The monastery was founded in 1112 by Udalschalk, or Udiskalk, a relative of Bishop Ulrich of Passau, to which he gave all his estates as an endowment.
