GemeindealpeThe Gemeindealpe is a 1626 m high mountain in the Lower Austrian Limestone Alps in the municipality of Mitterbach am Erlaufsee. It is also a beautiful skii area. The slopes are exposed to the east. The lower slopes are equipped with artificial snow machines. This guarantees regular skiing from December to March.
Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature ParkThis is the largest nature park in Lower Austria extends around the Ötscher. Niederalpl PassNiederalpl Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1.232m above the sea level, located in the Austrian state of Styria. It is traversed by State Highway 113 with a maximum grade of 10 percent. It connects Wegscheid and Mürzsteg. At the pass, there are two restaurants and several ski lifts. Neighboring peaks are the Hohe Veitsch and the Tonion.
Hohe VeitschThe Hohe Veitsch is the highest mountain in the Mürzsteg Alps, in the Austrian state of Styria. It is a limestone massif, rich in wildflower meadows and good views, and runs from west to east to the Klein-Veitsch Alm, a distances of around 5.5 km. There is also a plateau walk via Seeboden to the Kleinveitschalm.
Mürzsteg alpsThe Mürzsteg Alps are a mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps, in the Eastern Alps, Austria. The range is part of the Styrian-Lower Austrian Limestone Alps and is separated from its neighbouring groups. The majority of its rocks date to the Triassic period and include Wetterstein Dolomite, Hallstatt Limestone and Mürztal strata.
