About Haarrijnseplas
The Haarrijnseplas is a lake area in the Dutch municipality of Utrecht .The two lakes have a combined surface area of roughly 90 hectares . The lakes were created at the beginning of the 21st century along the A2 highway in the Vinex district of Leidsche Rijn . 13 million m³ of sand has been extracted at this location , a large part of which has been used to raise the level of this district. Castle De HaarDe Haar Castle is a monumental castle in the Utrecht village of Haarzuilens . It is the largest castle in the Netherlands.
