To reach Whitehouse Mountain, Ouray County, Colorado, follow highway 550 north from Montrose for approximately 23 miles. Bear left at the cattleguard ontoImogene Pass Road and continue for about 2.5 miles to the trailhead parking area on the left. The trail begins behind the large log cabin and climbs steeply for about 3/4 of a mile to treeline. From there, the route traverses west along a faint path through tundra to reach the east ridge of Whitehouse Mountain. 

There is no entrance fee to explore this location. 

The mountain is open year-round, but hours vary depending on the season. In the winter, the mountain is open from sunrise to sunset. In the spring and fall, the mountain is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. And in the summer, the mountain is open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
